Job Description:

The Opportunity:

This position will be a member of the Accounting team, performing the accounting, analysis, and deliverables associated with financial reporting. Responsibilities will include assisting in the month-end close process, completing account reconciliations, providing detail in support of audit requests and NAIC reporting requirements. This role will work closely with other departments.

What you will do:

* Prepare the monthly accounting processes in support of the IFRS and NAIC financial accounting close for all Group products, including the preparation of journal entries as well as analysis and reporting of results.

* Work collaboratively with other departments within the Company to ensure accuracy of the supporting data used to record transactions to the ledger.

* Perform monthly account reconciliations and work with the various departments to clear open reconciling items.

* Assist in the completion of NAIC financial reporting deliverables. Including preparation of IFRS and NAIC claim roll forward.

* Contribute to the compilation of audit requests.

* Research data requests and provide supporting details on account balances.

* Recommend systems and business process changes/improvements to support the processing of accurate financial data.

* Participate in ad-hoc requests.

What you will bring with you:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major.

* 3- 6years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis preferably in the financial services or insurance industries.

* Commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to manage conflicting demands.

* Detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Flexibility to work individually, as well as a team member.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with a strong knowledge of Excel

experience with Hyperion Smartview.

* Proficiency with Oracle General Ledger and experience with BOXI / Business Object queries.

* High level of integrity and confidentiality.

* Knowledge of Group insurance products and NAIC accounting requirements or similar insurance or financial institution

knowledge is a strong plus.

* Professional designation encouraged

Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to your base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on your individual performance as well as the overall performance of the business. We are dedicated to creating a work environment where everyone is rewarded for their contributions. National Average Salary Range: $79,800 - $119,700
