Description and Requirements

About the Position

We're seeking a Commercial Business Planning Manager responsible for driving market share, revenue, and profit for the North American Consumer PC business. In this position you will be responsible for managing the cycle and annual plans including the execution of quarterly/semi-annual campaigns tied to Lenovo objectives for units, revenue, and profitability. The position will work closely with the Lenovo consumer sales, product management and business management teams.

This position has a hybrid schedule based out of Morrisville, NC with 3 onsite and 2 remote days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning Responsibilities

  • Align with North America category team and Business Units to set key quarterly/annual business objectives including units/share, revenue and profit
  • Manage Cycle planning process, ensuring key dates and deliverables are met
  • Work closely with Business and Product management teams to coordinate and consolidate cycle P&L inputs; provide guidance on key metrics (units, rev, profit) to multiple levels of management
  • Provide relevant market analysis, including sell in and sales out, utilize PFV to optimize go-to-market strategy
  • Work closely with sales account executives to plan, execute, and track retail cycles
  • Drive initiatives to maximize share, mix, margin and overall product contribution to the portfolio and business
  • Evaluate performance against plan at appropriate intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly) and make corrective actions to keep on track to achieve goals
  • Present to management teams on a regular basis
  • Identify opportunities to partner with alliances to grow business

Product Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product management team on long-range plan to ensure product level TAM and share objectives are captured within our overall plan objectives
  • Effectively monitor Product Transitions with a view to maximizing revenue and profit
  • Effectively differentiate Lenovo offerings from competitive alternatives and create distinct customer preference for Lenovo offerings
  • Will bring elements of competitors' offerings or products into the equation to create the highest yielding deal for the customer and Lenovo

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • 10+ years of Experience as a Planning Manager working in a global matrixed environment.
  • 2+ years of Product Management Experience within the PC industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product Management Experience within the PC industry.
  • 10+ years of Experience working in a global matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management and retail business models.
  • Strong understanding of Promotional Program mechanics for consumer markets.
  • Experience handling P&L tracking and reporting on a geo scale.
  • Grasp on customer buying behavior and seasonality of PC products and technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: ensures messages are communicated clearly and with tact.
  • Demonstrated cross-collaboration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, senior management and functional working groups.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Cost Management is a plus.

This position has a hybrid schedule based out of Morrisville, NC with 3 onsite and 2 remote days per week.
