36-hours, day/night rotation including weekends and holidays required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of licensed RN experience in Labor and Delivery or ICU. MGH Labor & Delivery is a 12-bed, high-acuity LDR unit where expert nurses collaborate with obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, and OB anesthesia to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to a diverse population. Our supportive, team-driven culture promotes clinical excellence and compassionate care for every patient and family. The unit includes two dedicated operating rooms and a five-bay OB triage area. Summary Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records. -Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. -Record patients' medical information and vital signs. -Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. -Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. -Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
