| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The position duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Under the supervision and direction of the Grant Manager, ensures compliance with UNCW & Sponsor guidelines throughout the grant life cycle.
- Works closely with Sponsored Programs as liaison between the CSE Grant Manager and all grant stakeholders (Primary Investigator, Sponsored Programs Office (SPARC), other UNCW departments (Billing, Purchasing, Travel, HR) as well as administrative staff within the college for all day-to-day grant operations.
- Assists Primary Investigator (PI) with identifying funding opportunities and works with SPARC to initiate new proposals.
- Supports grant proposal development by providing standard language and templates, directing PI to internal UNCW resources and assists with standard budget preparation and obtaining supporting documentation. Identifies potential special circumstances or roadblocks for Grant Manager review.
- Attends New Award Meetings and submits budget revisions, NextGen tuition setups (scholarship committees & fund setups), pool positions, subaward purchase orders, and cost-share setup as directed by Grant Manager.
- Maintains Coordinator role in People Admin and inputs HR actions for Grant Manager review.
- Facilitates hiring actions as directed by Grant Manager (input FLAC/EPAF, request transcripts, I9 and background checks, assist department administrator with onboarding actions as needed).
- Prepares and submits FLAC, EPAF, Cost-Reallocations, Journal Entries, Hiring Actions, Pool Positions and SPARC-10 Course Buyout Forms for Grant Manager approval.
- Submits overburden FLAC for Grant Manager approval.
- Prepares SPARC-10 for Grant Manager approval.
- Works with CSE Business Services Coordinator for cost share transactions as directed by Grant Manager.
- Under the supervision and direction of Grant Manager, works with CSE Business team to administer approved cost-share. Submits fund setup forms for Cost-Share and updates tracking spreadsheet monthly for Grant Manager review. Works with CSE Business Team to address administrative cost-share actions (Journal Entries, Reallocations).
- Maintains Active Grants & Cost Share spreadsheets on a monthly basis for Grant Manager review.
- Coordinates grant closeout activities, including ending assignments for student and temporary employees, finalizing subaward invoices, ensuring encumbrances are liquidated, transferring ongoing expenses to appropriate funding sources, terminating cost share funds, and ensuring grant closure in Banner as directed by the Grant Manager.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
