Mold Tech - Fiber Refractory

Position Details

• Location: Mt. Pleasant, IA
• Starting Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
• Shift Details: 6:00 AM - 4:20 PM (Core Hours)
• Monday - Thursday
• OT as needed
• Full Time / Direct Hire

We are looking for a Mold Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you'll help create fireplace logs and refractory components by molding, painting, and finishing products to meet quality standards.

Mold Tech Duties Include

• Form and mold fireplace logs and refractory materials using molds and equipment
• Remove finished products and check for quality issues, trimming excess material as needed
• Mix and apply dyes and coatings to achieve the correct color and finish
• Paint and highlight products to create a realistic wood appearance
• Operate and maintain paint guns and production equipment
• Perform basic troubleshooting and daily equipment cleaning
• Follow quality standards using gauges and visual checks
• Assist with assembly, packaging, and other production tasks as needed
• Rotate between workstations and production lines as required
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

• Ability to work on your feet for most of the shift
• Comfortable doing repetitive, hands-on work
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Willingness to work in a dusty or wet environment
• Dependable with good attendance
• Team player who can rotate between different tasks
