Job Summary

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Revenue Cycle serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous transformation of Grady Health System's Revenue Cycle enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the SVP will develop and execute a comprehensive revenue cycle strategy that maximizes net patient revenue, accelerates cash collections, enhances the patient financial experience, and supports the organization's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

This executive leader will oversee all post-service revenue cycle functions, including Insurance Billing, Self-Pay Billing, Cash Posting, Denial Management, Underpayment Recovery, Patient Financial Services (PFS) Customer Service, Vendor Management, and Revenue Recovery operations across hospital, physician, ambulatory, and EMS services. The SVP will foster a culture of accountability, innovation, operational excellence, compliance, and employee engagement while serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, clinical leaders, operational departments, and external stakeholders.

The SVP will champion the modernization of revenue cycle operations through analytics, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies to optimize performance, reduce administrative burden, improve financial outcomes, and create a best-in-class patient financial experience.

Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Revenue Cycle enterprise across Grady Health System.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all post-service revenue cycle operations, including:

  • Insurance Billing
  • Self-Pay Billing
  • Cash Posting
  • Denial Management
  • Underpayment Recovery
  • Patient Financial Services (PFS) Customer Service
  • Vendor Management
  • Revenue Recovery operations across the enterprise

Develop and execute strategies to:

  • Maximize net patient revenue
  • Accelerate cash collections
  • Reduce denials
  • Optimize reimbursement
  • Improve the patient financial experience.

Lead enterprise operational transformation initiatives focused on:

  • Analytics
  • Automation
  • Artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Digital modernization of revenue cycle operations.

Drive operational excellence, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the revenue cycle function.

Serve as a strategic business partner to:

  • Executive leadership
  • Clinical leaders
  • Operational departments
  • External stakeholders.

Ensure regulatory and reimbursement compliance related to Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payers.

Support organizational financial performance through data-driven decision-making and revenue optimization strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Management required.
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration required.
  • Ten (10) years of leadership experience in healthcare
  • Ten (10) years of experience in progressive revenue cycle in a large hospital setting.
