The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Test Lab Supervisor to work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.

The Test Lab Supervisordelegates projects and production support work; assists in planning, quantifying, scheduling and prioritizing projects; has supervision responsibility over subset of Test Lab personnel.

The key responsibilities of theTest Lab Supervisor include, but are not limited to:



  • Assists in developing and tracking Test Lab KPI (Key Performance Indicator) metrics
  • Writes and enhances new and existing test procedures
  • Assists in and expedites Test Lab Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Writes and reviews annual employee evaluations with direct reports
  • Reviews and provides feedback on work instruction submitted by Engineering/Quality/Process
  • Writes and reviews technical memos and engineering reports
  • Assists with failure analysis of Connector assemblies
  • Performs re-qualifications for Mil/Aero QPL connector products
  • Assists with qualification testing for products in both Mil/Aero and Commercial products
  • Researches equipment, procedural, and software enhancements
  • Plans and performs engineering project assignments related to design, development, evaluation or qualification
  • Works under a minimum of supervision, providing technical direction to Lab Technicians
  • Responsible for portion of Test Lab equipment
  • Operates in a team-based work setting

  • Sidney, NY

    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY




Salary - $85,000 - $125,000

The Person -

Thekey skills and qualities of an Test Lab Supervisorat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:



  • Bachelor's Degreein a related engineering discipline plus a minimum of 2 - 4 years of applicable work experience
  • An equivalent of education and qualifying experience is acceptable
  • Requires a thorough working knowledge of engineering principles as applied to electrical connectors
  • Must be capable of independently representing the company
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools
  • Basic Expertise in programming automatic test equipment is required
  • Needs to be familiar with Military Specifications/Standards and Industry Standard test methods and equipment for connectors
  • Knowledge of AS400 programs for product information and purchasing requisitions
  • Able to apply sound engineering techniques and practices in performing assigned tasks
  • Job requires movement between test equipment and some minor lifting
  • Occasional travel (<10%)
