Job Summary The Parts Coordinator is responsible for the movement of parts and equipment in and out of the parts department. - Inventory Management:Maintain accurate stock levels of parts and equipment, all fluids ensuring availability for repairs and service needs.
- Procurement & Ordering:Source parts from vendors, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and coordinate with service departments to meet repair schedules.
- Technician Support:Assist service technicians in identifying the correct parts using parts catalogs and other resources.
- Order Processing:Write Purchase Order(s) for parts, Issue parts to technicians, update inventory control systems according to company guidelines.
- Receiving & Shipping:Daily receiving of incoming parts, inspecting for accuracy and damage.
- Returns & Warranty Handling:Manage returns of defective parts and process warranty claims in compliance with company policy.
- Department Maintenance:Keep the parts area clean, organized, and in line with company standards.
- Vendor Coordination:Pick up and deliver parts from vendors as needed and coordinate special orders or recalls.
- Inventory Audits:Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
- Safety & Compliance:Follow all safety rules, company policies, and industry regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Repeated bending and stooping.
- Able to move 55-gallon drums.
- Able to climb stairs frequently and work at heights more than 12' safety using PPE.
Work Environment:
- Hot, cold, wet.
- Must be willing to work all shifts including over time and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational and computer skills for inventory systems.
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms related to the equipment or vehicles served.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a parts department or related role preferred.
- Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift.
