Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Librarian. The selected candidate will work with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, Xpedition and Altium, to create and maintain component library database schematic symbols and component land patterns per IPC and SDL's standards. This position will require full-time presence onsite at our headquarters in North Logan, UT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages Component Part Library which may include multiple libraries
- Creates custom parts from engineering drawings
- Processes Electronic Entity Request (EERA) including interpreting electrical/ mechanical drawings to create parts, both common and complex, to SDL standards
- Assures symbols and footprints comply with IPC and space grade PCB design and fabrication standards
- Assists with assembly drawings
- Assists the PCB Design team in ordering, tracking delivery, and failures of PCB builds
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Must work well independently with minimal supervision and in a team
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of electronic components and their basic functions
- Experience with EDA software tools (Xpedition and Altium)
- Experience as a PCB Librarian
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and data sheets
*Salary Range
- $35,000 - $69,000
- Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
