What to Expect
Megapack is scaling fast, and demand planning sits at the center of it. We partner with sales, manufacturing, engineering, product, and finance to make the calls that keep industrial energy storage growing around the world. It's a high-impact, cross-functional role with real accountability - the kind of seat where your analysis actually moves the business. As a member of the planning team, you'll own demand forecasting for Megapack, balance of plant (BOP) equipment, logistics capacity, and other components. You'll support long-term capacity planning, dig into historical trends to sharpen accuracy, and help leadership see what's coming before it arrives. What makes this role different is how we work. We're building a modern, highly automated planning stack, and we want a planner who thinks like a builder - someone who reaches for the best tools available, including AI, to kill manual work and make faster, smarter decisions. You won't just maintain spreadsheets; you'll help reinvent how planning gets done. If you're energized by sustainable energy, love untangling messy operational problems with data, and get a little thrill out of automating something that used to take all day, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Create global demand forecasts based on contracting backlog, customer site readiness, and weighted/unweighted future pipeline
- Proactively manage short- and long-term growth targets, and give leadership clear, detailed reporting on how we're tracking. Watch the leading and lagging indicators, and flag when the forecast or modeling logic needs to change
- Play a critical role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working across operations, sales, warehousing, manufacturing, and procurement. Surface risks early and bring solutions, not
just problems, to business leadership - Partner with Finance to strengthen financial health through smart planning decisions and detailed scenario analyses, especially around new product launches and growth
- Build, automate, and continually improve planning models and tools so the team scales without simply adding headcount
- Use modern tools - including AI - to accelerate analysis, automate recurring work, and prototype new capabilities, and help raise the whole team's game over time
- Support and lead cross-functional working forums
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in business operations, supply chain, management consulting, data/analytics, or a related field
- Extremely organized and genuinely comfortable managing a high degree of complexity and ambiguity
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel
- A builder's mindset and real comfort with technology - you pick up new tools quickly and look for ways to automate the tedious parts of the job. Demonstrated use of AI tools to get real work
done is a strong plus - Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to interface with and influence multiple teams at every level of the organization
- Structured communication skills: you can stand in front of leadership and make the complex feel simple
- An embrace of change and a fast pace - you'd rather build the plane while flying it than wait for perfect conditions
