NATURE AND SCOPE:
Reports to the Mortgage Closing Manger. This position will be responsible for ensuring all documents required for closing are received and ready for closing. Prepares complete closing packages according to secondary market guidelines.


REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent and one year of Landmark experience or two years of experience preparing mortgage closing documents.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of all types of mortgage loans and a general overview of underwriting guidelines.
3. Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job including Microsoft Office products and systems related to mortgage lending.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
5. Proven ability to organize work, balance multiple priorities, manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with strong attention to detail and within defined deadlines.
6. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
7. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to the position. Must understand and comply with all job related state and federal laws and regulations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Prepare, review, and issuing accurate and compliant disclosure packages for first mortgage loans using Encompass (LOS).
2. Contact realtor, title company, or attorney for closing statement for purchases.
3. Confirms that a title search was properly executed and that the title is in good order.
4. Prepares the closing documents in an accurate, error-free manner.
5. Verify and validate critical components of payoff statements for refinance transactions.
6. Confirms that all required insurance policies are bound prior to or at the closing date.
7. Informs members of items needed for closing, i.e., amount of cashier's check, homeowners insurance, identification requirements.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
