The Team

The Work Support Department plays a critical role in enabling safe, efficient, and reliable gas operations across the state. We provide analytical, administrative, and coordination support that helps field crews, supervisors, and leadership make informed, data-driven decisions and operate more effectively.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze and report on Work Support operational metrics (e.g., productivity, completion rates, UTCs, scheduling performance, clerical efficiency) to support business and operational decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, charts, and trend analyses that provide clear, actionable insights to supervisors and leadership
  • Partner with field operations, clerical, and leadership teams to identify performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support supervisors with project tracking, reporting, and preparation of leadership-level report-outs
  • Track department budgets, invoices, and related financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and provide value-adding, data-driven recommendations
About You
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of analytical work experience required
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of analytical work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in building Power BI dashboards and Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, reporting) required
  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to support operational or business decisions
  • Familiarity with Work Management systems (e.g., Maximo, Salesforce, or similar) preferred
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$78,000 - $89,000 a year

National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring. For more information, please view NYC Local Law 144.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
