The Senior Proposal Manager will own and project manage the end-to-end proposal lifecycle for customer-facing proposals, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Targeted Proposals, Presentations, and pre-qualification documents. As the proposal process subject matter expert for the Commercial Print Sales Team, this role is responsible for driving the strategic development of compelling, customer-centric responses that align with business strategies and brand guidelines. This requires close collaboration with Sales, Solutions, Pricing, Legal, and other cross-functional partners, as well as interaction with multiple levels of the organization, including senior leadership. POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Proposal Specialist develops, executes, and manages the proposal life cycle for customer-facing proposals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), pre-qualification documents and proposal presentations for the sales organization. As the proposal process subject matter expert, this role interacts with multiple levels of the organization including senior leadership to craft creative and customer-centric responses that support current business strategies and align with FedEx Office branding and legal guidelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Location Details: This is a hybrid position located in Plano, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, or Memphis, TN. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field Master's degree preferred 5+ years proposal writing or related experience 2+ years sales, sales support or customer-facing roles focused on developing business relationships Prior experience with sales processes, operations, organization/workflow and customer agreements Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suites Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional design/work teams with both field and corporate members Prior experience in project management and process improvements Training and/or certification in formal proposal methodologies and industry-wide best practices in proposal management preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time Ability, on a consistent basis, to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure Ability, on a consistent basis, to work within the appropriate level of independence Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: Pay: Additional Details: For details on our comprehensive benefits, click here.
