Key Position Details: .5 FTE (40 hours per two-week pay period) Variable hours day shifts No weekends Job Description: The Grant Writing Intern expands the Foundation's capacity to pursue philanthropic revenue by supporting grant research, writing, reporting, and administrative activities. The role allows full-time staff to focus on larger, more strategic funding opportunities while maintaining a strong pipeline of grant submissions and revenue growth. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals and applications. Conduct prospect research to identify potential foundation, corporate, and community grant opportunities. Support grant reporting, tracking deadlines, and maintaining grant records. Draft correspondence, summaries, and supporting materials for grant submissions. Assist with data collection and program information needed for grant proposals and reports. Manage routine and low to midlevel grant opportunities with AHF staff oversight and coaching. Support special projects and administrative tasks related to philanthropy and foundation operations. Collaborate with Foundation team members to ensure timely and accurate grant submissions. Contribute ideas for process improvements and increased efficiency within grant development activities. Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $19.61 to $26.70 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
