As a Security Officer Visitor in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Professional at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity from a stationary post, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help support a secure environment through professionalism, attention to detail, and integrity while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet arriving guests, verify credentials, and help to control access in accordance with location policies and security-related procedures.
• Answer phones, manage visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or questions related to front desk activity.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to appropriate personnel in line with Allied Universal and location guidelines.
• Support a professional front desk presence within a dynamic aerospace and defense location by maintaining awareness of entry activity and helping to follow established security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
