What You'll Do

Stay Alert: Keep an eye on all assigned residents and know what they're up to at all times! When assigned to one-on-one supervision, you'll need to have your eyes on the client during that time. If they venture out, you'll follow until they're safely back or further assistance is provided.

Safety First: Use your verbal de-escalation skills to redirect behaviors and prevent crises. If necessary, employ CPI techniques to ensure everyone stays safe.

Be the Fun Facilitator: Help run the daily schedule, participating in activities like group sessions, and events. Your enthusiasm will make these tasks enjoyable!

Connect Daily: Facilitate daily phone calls for clients, helping them stay connected with their support systems.

Document with Style: Complete daily shift notes for individual clients, keeping track of their progress and any concerns.

Team Communication: Share insights and concerns with the house/pod treatment teams to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding client needs.

Transportation Hero: Safely transport residents for community outings and meetings in a company vehicle, ensuring a fun and secure journey.

Policy Pro: Stay compliant with all policies, record-keeping requirements, and documentation duties. You'll be the organization guru!

Stay Sharp: Keep up to date with all required trainings and certifications to maintain your role at Newport Healthcare.

Support Your House: Provide support to your assigned house, with flexibility to change assignments based on operational needs.

Other Duties as Assigned: Be ready to take on additional tasks that help our mission shine!


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.
  • Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving the company's vehicles.
  • Must become CPI and CPR certified within first 30 days.

Compensation for this role ranges from $22-$26 per hour depending on education and experience.
