Overview

Join a high-performing accounting team at the center of a rapidly evolving data center business, where you'll lead a timely, accurate close process and turn financial results into impactful insights that drive the organization forward.
As the Manager, Accounting, you will lead and execute core accounting operations to deliver an efficient, on-time monthly close, while ensuring financial results are accurate, actionable, and clearly communicated to stakeholders across the business.


Responsibilities

    Provides quality internal and external customer service aligned with Company values.
  • Implements senior management-approved programs and projects that align with Company goals, policies, financial objectives, and schedules.
  • Completes month-end close activities, including reviewing and posting journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and GAAP reporting.
  • Ensures proper internal controls are in place and followed.
  • Manages an accountant, including goal setting, oversight of functional responsibilities, and performance evaluations.
  • Reviews fixed asset tasks and helps document processes and controls.
  • Researches and answers capitalization questions to ensure compliance with Company policies.
  • Reviews software licenses, related accounts, and contracts to ensure compliance with Company policies and GAAP.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve process automation.
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities as needed.
  • Supports external audits by providing requested data.
  • Serves as liaison with the corporate office, field locations, and outside parties on accounting matters.
  • Performs financial analysis using data from financial accounting systems.
  • Ensures generally accepted accounting principles are followed in monthly financial statement preparation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of progressive functional experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate accounting matters deliver effective presentations to management and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial statement support.
  • Professional experience and knowledge sufficient to perform job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based applications.

Preferred Experience

  • Progressive career advancement with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and/or developing accounting or finance teams.
  • Hands-on experience using Workday Financials and related accounting modules.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations.
  • Experience in software or SaaS accounting, including industry-specific accounting practices.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid schedule from our Coporate office in Des Peres, MO with WFH flexibility

Pay Transparency
TierPoint is committed to practices that promote pay equity and transparency. We provide a compensation range for roles that may be hired in locations with pay transparency law requirements. It's important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.
Pay Range $83,000.00 - $105,000.00
