Work Schedule: 5X8 2nd Shift = Monday-Friday 2:45-10:45 pm



Job Purpose:



The R&T Manufacturing Technician supports AEC's mission to advance composite technologies by operating specialized manufacturing and prototypedevelopment equipment. In this role, you will work closely with R&T engineers to develop, test, and refine processes that strengthen AEC's technical capabilities and enable new applications across aerospace and defense programs. Technicians contribute directly to earlystage innovation by building prototypes, working with advanced materials, and helping to create and improve work instructions.

  • Perform manufacturing operations in support of aerospace and defense customer requirements and program objectives.
  • Operate a range of machinery and manufacturing process related to
  • Operate a variety of manufacturing and prototypedevelopment machinery used in composite fabrication.
  • Work handson with advanced materials, including carbon fiber, resins, and other composite systems.
  • Support prototype builds and researchdriven development activities across aerospace and defense programs.
  • Partner closely with R&T engineers to conduct tests, troubleshoot issues, and refine manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and improving work instructions and process documentation.
    Follow detailed work instructions with strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Set up equipment, preventative maintenance

Qualifications/Characteristics:



  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


Working Conditions:



Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.



Physical requirements:



  • Frequently positions sheets of material onto molds and/or manually sands parts, etc...
  • Frequent repetitive hand movements, use of hand tools - pliers, sanders, scissors, etc...
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Must be able to detect and recognize visual differences between materials or parts, etc...
  • Frequently moves molds and parts >35 lbs between worktables and carts
