Description

In this position, you will perform duties as a Central Service Technician (CST) which includes distribution of supplies and equipment as assigned within UCLA Health System. This position is a support position to patient care. Assignments are given according to organizational goals. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to placing orders to replenish inventory supply levels, assessing inventory turns to adjust par levels to accommodate changing demand, receiving and transporting supplies weighing up to 50 pounds to their destination locations, reconciling packing slips against delivered content, and restocking inventory supply areas. You will complete all duties of par management including following up on vendor direct orders, manage the module supply cart in the assigned area and maintaining barcode labels.

Pay rate:$26.31/hour

Qualifications

The ideal Central Service Technician is a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

This role requires the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision, maintain a high level of discipline and accountability, and consistently meet established deadlines. Candidates must be comfortable entering and maintaining accurate data in computerized systems, completing administrative tasks in a timely manner, and troubleshooting supply chain discrepancies to support operational efficiency.

A successful Central Service Technician is capable of identifying medical supplies, following established procedures, and contributing ideas for process improvement. The individual must be receptive to direction, follow instructions provided by management, and adhere to all UCLA Health policies, procedures, and organizational standards.

Preferred qualifications include experience in warehousing, inventory management, merchandising, or supply chain operations, as well as previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
