Recruiting Engagement Specialist - Lead Generation/Conversion - Farmer's Branch, TX In-Office - Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Changing lives one Day at a Time The Recruiting Engagement Specialist is responsible for building relationships with CDL drivers from their first interaction through qualification. This position serves as the first point of contact for prospective drivers, focusing on converting leads into qualified applicants through proactive outreach, relationship building, and exceptional candidate experience. Working closely with recruiters, branch teams, and marketing partners, this role executes outbound recruiting campaigns, nurtures talent pipelines, supports recruiting events, and leverages recruitment marketing strategies to ensure a steady flow of qualified drivers. Your Role & Responsibilities Candidate Engagement & Lead Conversion
- Build relationships with prospective CDL drivers from initial contact through qualification.
- Contact partial applicants and guide them through completion of their application
- Engage with CDL drivers through inbound and outbound recruiting efforts to build strong candidate relationships.
- Re-engage inactive applicants and previous candidates to strengthen the driver talent pipeline.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through consistent communication and follow-up.
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Identify and attract qualified CDL drivers through outbound calling, texting, email campaigns, job boards, social media, referrals, and community networking.
- Execute proactive sourcing strategies to generate new candidate leads.
- Support employer branding initiatives to increase awareness of employment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Candidate Qualification
- Screen candidates by reviewing work history, CDL credentials, employment requirements, and qualifications.
- Conduct initial interviews and determine candidate readiness before transferring qualified applicants to recruiters.
- Ensure candidate information is accurately documented within ATS and CRM systems.
Recruitment Marketing & Outreach
- Assist in developing recruitment marketing campaigns to increase applicant flow.
- Promote opportunities through social media and community engagement.
- Recommend creative sourcing strategies to improve candidate attraction and conversion.
Recruiting Events
- Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, CDL schools, and community outreach activities.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing recruiting events. Conduct post-event follow-up to maximize hiring results.
Reporting & Performance
- Maintain accurate recruiting records and candidate databases.
- Track recruiting activity and conversion metrics including:
- Lead conversion
- Applicant completion
- Qualified candidate rates
- Source effectiveness
- Time-to-contact
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate engagement.
Collaboration
- Partner with recruiters, branch teams, operations, and marketing to support hiring initiatives.
- Communicate hiring trends and candidate feedback to improve recruiting strategies.
- Stay informed on recruiting best practices, transportation industry trends, and employment compliance requirements.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, customer service, sales, call center operations, or transportation/logistics.
- Experience recruiting CDL drivers or supporting transportation staffing preferred.
- Experience conducting high-volume outbound calling and candidate outreach.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, or recruiting platforms (Tenstreet experience preferred).
- Experience utilizing social media, job boards, and other sourcing tools to identify and engage candidates.
- Experience supporting recruiting events, job fairs, or community outreach activities preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

- Ability to effectively promote employment opportunities and encourage candidate engagement.
- Comfortable handling objections and influencing candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Proficiency using ATS, CRM, HRIS, and recruiting technology platforms.
- Ability to learn new systems and utilize technology to improve recruiting efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate candidate records and follow established processes.
- Ability to analyze recruiting challenges, identify solutions, and adapt strategies to meet hiring needs.
- Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in identifying new sourcing opportunities.
- Ability to work effectively with recruiters, branch teams, marketing, and operations to achieve hiring goals.
