Parts & Warehouse Specialist

As a Parts & Warehouse Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our technicians and customers receive the right parts at the right time. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving and stocking materials, shipping and receiving, supporting parts counter sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming inventory against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer and technician orders for shipment or pickup.
- Maintain organized warehouse locations and ensure inventory is stored properly.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Replenish high-volume inventory from overflow storage locations.
- Process vendor returns, warranty returns, and customer returns.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices where applicable.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization while following all safety procedures.
Parts Counter Sales & Customer Service
- Assist walk-in customers and service technicians with parts identification and sales.
- Answer incoming phone calls regarding parts availability, pricing, and order status.
- Process parts sales accurately through the company operating system.
- Research replacement parts using manufacturer parts breakdowns and vendor resources.
- Recommend alternative or replacement parts when necessary.
- Coordinate special-order parts and communicate expected delivery dates.
- Build positive customer relationships by providing prompt, professional service.
- Support inside sales opportunities by identifying related parts and accessories.
Shipping & Inventory Control
- Package shipments accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL freight carriers, and other approved shipping methods.
- Verify outbound shipments for accuracy before leaving the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's ERP system.
- Assist with inventory transfers between branch locations.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous process improvements.
Team Support
- Collaborate with dispatch, service technicians, and branch leadership to ensure timely parts availability.
- Support operational goals by prioritizing technician and customer needs.
- Perform additional warehouse or branch duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
Standout Qualifications
- Two or more years of warehouse, inventory, or parts experience preferred.
- Previous parts counter sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience identifying commercial equipment parts is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.
- Experience using inventory or ERP software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: Based on experience.
- Schedule: While FESCO/Bromley operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Warehouse Specialists are generally scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
