The College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Visiting Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Educational Studies (BES) Program, beginning Fall 2026. This twelve-month, non-tenure-track faculty position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and advance an innovative undergraduate program that prepares students to promote learning, development, and community engagement beyond traditional K-12 settings. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the BES program while teaching undergraduate courses, supporting internships, building community partnerships, and contributing to student recruitment and retention efforts. The position is ideal for an educator who values experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful community engagement. About the Bachelor of Educational Studies Program The Bachelor of Educational Studies program is designed for students who are passionate about learning, community impact, and educational opportunities beyond traditional classrooms. Through experiential learning and internships, students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to support learning across a variety of community settings. Other Helpful Information This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. This is a full-time 100% FTE benefits-eligible position. This position has no rights to tenure at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Appointment is a twelve month, visiting faculty position.
