Job Description
Assists Test Officer with test preparation, set-up, execution, logistics, and reporting. Writes or contributes to test plans, summaries, reports, and other test related documents. Assists with test coordination and daily Range Safety briefings. Assists with selection, set-up, and operation of standard test equipment and recording test data. Participates in the conduct of field-testing in various roles from data acquisition up to direction of testing in progress. Assists with reviewing, validating, and taking necessary corrective action based data generated on assigned tests. Assists with monitoring test funds, expenditures, and hours worked by various test support organizations. Conducts general research. Follows International Test Operations Procedures, customer guidance, and SOPs when scheduling, coordinating, and conducting tests. Assists with supporting range scheduling and coordination with the Range Planning Division, including cost estimates, Project Management Module (PMM), and Private Industry Contracts. Assists with clearing overruns. Works in a team environment. Provides technical representation at meetings and working groups. Represents the Test Officer to external customers and support organizations. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence (such as e-mail). Provides daily and as-needed feedback to Test Officers to provide useful information for decision-making. Provides primary support to the Aviation Systems & Electronic Test (ASET) Division, Air Delivery Branch Test Officers supporting programs that include personnel parachute systems, cargo air delivery systems, guided parachute systems, external air transport, and materiel air drop qualification. Assists with on-site support in Mission Control during test execution. Must work toward achieving full or limited Test Officer Certification. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay Rate:$22.54

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Skills Requirements:

* Must be able to use Microsoft Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Must be able to use two-way radios, email, and cellular phones for communications.

Physical Requirements:

* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Air Delivery and TRAX.
* Must be able to work long and varied hours.
* Must be capable of frequent bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, standing, climbing, and stooping, sometimes for long periods.
* Must be able to ascend and descend equipment.
* Must be able to visually distinguish colors.
* Must be capable of lifting and transporting 35 lbs. unassisted over uneven ground for 50 feet.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science degree in a technical subject relevant to aviation or electronic warfare
* Knowledge of aerodynamic properties.
* Experience with cargo and/or personnel parachute systems, precision guided airdrop systems, certification of hazardous and non-hazardous material for airdrop, certification of aircraft for airdrop operations, and/or external air transport.
* Graduate of U.S. Army Basic Airborne Course.
* Experience leading a multi-disciplined project team.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project software.
* Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
* Knowledge of government office procedures and prior work experience in government testing office environment.

* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
* Must possess of be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
* Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
