About the role

You will help shape how UCB works with external partners for clinical studies and development services. Who you will work with

You will work with Clinical Outsourcing Managers, study teams, Strategic Clinical Partnering colleagues, finance, legal, procurement, quality, and external vendors. You will also connect with teams across Patient Evidence, Patient Solutions, Patient Impact, and wider development groups to support strong vendor partnerships and smooth study delivery.

What you will do

  • You will manage RFI and RFP steps, vendor selection, study awards, work orders, service agreements, amendments, and confidentiality agreements.
  • You will lead vendor contract discussions to support quality, timelines, value, and clear accountability.
  • You will support budget forecasts, cost estimates, financial reviews, and annual financial planning with study and finance teams.
  • You will track vendor performance, spot risks early, and share clear updates with internal stakeholders.
  • You will coach and support Clinical Outsourcing Managers or Strategic Clinical Partnering colleagues on complex work.

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in science, finance, legal, business, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • You bring strong experience in pharma, biotech, CRO, clinical outsourcing, vendor management, or clinical development.
  • You have managed vendor negotiations, contracts, budgets, forecasts, and financial assessments with good results.
  • You understand clinical development, ICH/GCP, vendor qualification, and outsourced clinical study delivery.
  • You communicate clearly in English and can guide discussions, manage conflicts, and build agreement across global teams.
  • You are organised, adaptable, and able to manage several priorities while keeping quality, compliance, and timelines in focus.
