Partner, Head of Rewards & Career Advisory, North America
Role Overview As the Partner, Head of Rewards, North America, you will lead Aon's Rewards business across the region, shaping strategy, driving growth and delivering market-leading rewards solutions to Aon's clients across enterprise and mid-market segments! This role combines deep rewards expertise with strategic business leadership, commercial acumen, and a strong understanding of how total rewards can create measurable value for clients. In addition to serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams, you will be accountable for the growth, profitability, talent strategy, and market leadership of the North America Rewards practice, while partnering closely with Rewards & Workforce Analytics colleagues to connect rewards, workforce transformation, and talent advisory opportunities across the market!
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & P&L Accountability
- Lead the North America Rewards business with full accountability for revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, resource deployment, and overall business performance across mid-market and enterprise rewards offerings.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and growth agenda for the practice, making sure it aligns with broader Human Capital objectives and Aon's business strategy. Coordinate this with the priorities of the North American Talent group.
- Provide leadership for the continued evolution, positioning, and operational execution of both the mid-market rewards and enterprise rewards solutions, ensuring each offering is clearly differentiated, scalable, and connected to broader client needs.
- Monitor market trends, client demand, competitive dynamics, and emerging workforce challenges to find opportunities for innovation, expansion, and investment across compensation, total rewards, organizational change, and talent consulting solutions.
- Drive disciplined business management, operational excellence, and performance accountability across the practice, including active collaboration with the Head of Rewards & Workforce Analytics, NA Talent Solutions on shared growth priorities, integrated offerings, and cross-practice execution.
Business Development & Market Leadership
- Act as the senior market leader for Rewards in North America, driving the growth of existing client relationships and originating new opportunities with large multinational organizations, middle-market companies, and other priority client segments.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with CHROs, CFOs, Boards of Directors, Compensation Committees, and Executive Leadership Teams.
- Develop and enact go-to-market strategies, drive market visibility, and shape Aon's Rewards value proposition across both mid-market and enterprise client needs.
- Identify and advance total rewards opportunities with clients, including compensation strategy, benefits integration, wellbeing, recognition, pay transparency, career frameworks, workforce analytics, and broader talent transformation needs.
- Champion Aon's United model by partnering across Human Capital, Health, Wealth, Risk Capital, and Talent Solutions to deliver integrated client solutions that connect rewards, workforce transformation, and broader talent advisory capabilities.
- Represent Aon externally through thought leadership, speaking engagements, industry forums, research initiatives, and client events to strengthen the firm's market position in rewards and total rewards advisory.
Client Leadership & Advisory
- Lead large-scale, enterprise rewards transformations spanning multiple geographies and business units, while also supporting scalable mid-market rewards solutions that meet evolving client needs.
- Orchestrate complex consulting engagements involving global job architecture, position management, job evaluation, market benchmarking, incentive program development, rewards governance, pay transparency, and total rewards strategy.
- Advise clients on compensation strategy, pay competitiveness, internal equity, workforce effectiveness, and the broader employee value proposition created through total rewards.
- Support clients in integrating rewards strategies into broader talent, workforce, analytics, and business transformation initiatives, in partnership with relevant leaders across NA Talent Solutions.
Talent & Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of rewards consultants across North America with the capabilities required to serve mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Drive colleague engagement, capability development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline growth within the practice.
- Mentor and coach senior leaders and consultants to strengthen commercial insight, consulting excellence, technical expertise, and the ability to identify total rewards opportunities with clients.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and leading from the middle, including strong partnership with the Head of Rewards & Workforce Analytics, NA Talent Solutions and other cross-solution leaders.
- Ensure effective workforce planning and prioritisation throughout the practice, aligning talent deployment to client demand, growth priorities, and the needs of both mid-market and enterprise rewards solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive experience in total rewards consulting or senior in-house rewards leadership within large, complex, multi-national or global organizations, including significant experience advising executive leadership teams.
- Demonstrated success leading a consulting practice, business unit, or significant portfolio with direct accountability for revenue, profitability, forecasting, and strategic growth across multiple client segments.
- Proven track record of originating, leading, and closing complex, multi-year consulting engagements and consistently achieving growth objectives in rewards, total rewards, and adjacent talent advisory solutions.
- Deep expertise in global rewards strategy, compensation program design, incentive plan development, rewards governance, workforce analytics, pay transparency, and talent strategy.
- Strong commercial and financial competence, including experience managing P&L performance, building scalable market offerings, and driving sustainable business growth.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, building leadership pipelines, implementing succession strategies, and collaborating across matrixed teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Outstanding executive presence, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build relationships with senior stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Established success navigating global and matrixed environments while leading multiple strategic priorities and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $275,000 to $325,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
