You will serve as the primary contact for landowners on or near the Express Platte pipeline easements and facilities across Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska, building the strong, collaborative relationships that keep our operations safe and our social license secure.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide Lands & ROW support and advisor services to regional pipeline and facility operations personnel.

  • Serve as the main point of communication for Landowners adjacent to or near Enbridge pipeline easements and facilities, building positive relationships and resolving landowner concerns and inquiries.

  • Responsible for landowner notification and agreements for all regional operations activity, approval, and special conditions for activities conducted on private or /Public lands.

  • Lead coordinating role for all Lands & ROW matters pertaining to the pipeline right-of-way which includes leading settlements with landowners/public agencies.

  • Be accountable for detailing and supporting land related issues, management and disposal of Land/Land Rights, mitigating negative environmental impact, public relations with private and corporate landowners & tenants, damage claims, and collaborate with Regulatory Agencies.

  • Represent the Company along the pipeline ROW within the operating region of coverage. This includes but not limited to landowners, municipalities, government agencies, conservation authorities, various associations and the general public.

Who You Are:

  • Related bachelor's degree, diploma or professional land certificate.

  • Fully qualified land professional with a minimum of 4 years of related right-of-way experience in progressive roles. For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (total of 7+ years).

  • Strong understanding of land acquisition, easement, and right-of-way legal requirements within the operating area.

  • Ability to interpret applicable legislation, regulations, processes, and legal documentation, including titles, deeds, plans, and engineering drawings.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, land management databases, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

  • Knowledge of pipeline operations, maintenance, and landowner negotiations as well as professional land, real estate, or International Right of Way Association (IRWA) designations are considered assets.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Mental Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily a field office environment with at least 50% of time spent driving to meet with various interested parties and visit field locations within the set region.

  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.
