Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Head Coach for the Crew Club within the Recreation department.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides day-to-day leadership, administration, and supervision for a thriving men's Crew club program within the Recreation Department, in alignment with the department's mission, vision, and Strategic Plan.
- Coaches and manages the Crew program, including scheduling, developing practice plans, logistics, equipment, and equipment maintenance, budgeting, and recruiting.
- Works with the Assistant Director of Club Sports on fundraising and generating programming revenue to financially support the program.
- Works early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours as needed to support the Crew program's success.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience in a high school, club or varsity setting as well as rowing experience.

- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain it within the first six months of employment.
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.
- Current Rutgers Defensive Driving Certification or ability to obtain it within 60 days of employment.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Head Coaching experience.
- Evidence of leadership experience and/or a demonstrated commitment to student learning and development.
- Experience with fiscal responsibility and fundraising, including budgeting, financial oversight, expenditure review, and/or financial reporting.

- Knowledge of how to use power boats, and pickups with boat trailers.
- Microsoft Office 365 suite, Adobe Acrobat, Canvas, DocuSign, DSERec, Smartsheet and similar software.

| Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Practices are held on land and water. Candidates must have a degree of comfort on bodies of water and can safely navigate small motorboats during practices.
