As a 3rd Shift Engine Mechanic at StandardAero in Augusta, GA, you will put your skills and powerplant expertise to use performing overhauls, major inspections, and heavy maintenance on Honeywell turbofan engines. What to expect in this role:
- Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs.
- Navigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell engine types and models.
- Disassembly and re-assembly of Honeywell engine types and models.
- Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
- Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directive.
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience performing heavy maintenance as a Licensed A&P Mechanic.
- Technical training on turbine engines in the areas of inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
- Must be available to work 3rd shift, with overtime as business needs require
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Characteristics:
- 3+ years of experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing turbofan engines
- Experience working on the Honeywell HTF7000 and/or TFE731 engine lines.
- Previous experience locating and applying FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Orders, and Notices.
