Overview

Are you a paraplanner, wealth assistant or client service professional ready to take the next step toward becoming a Wealth Advisor? Johnson Financial Group is looking for a Wealth Associate Relationship Manager to join our Wealth team in a developmental, transitional role designed to build your advisory skills.

At JFG, you'll be part of a privately owned, Wisconsin-based financial services company with a long-term mindset, strong community roots and a culture that values relationships, development and doing what is right for clients. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least two years of wealth support, paraplanning or similar experience who wants hands-on exposure, mentorship and a clear path toward an advisory career.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner closely with Wealth Advisors and Relationship Managers to learn the business, support client relationships and prepare for long-term growth into an advisory role.
  • Shadow and participate in client meetings, prospect conversations, planning discussions and relationship reviews.
  • Actively participate in business development efforts, including client acquisition strategies, prospect follow-up and relationship-building with centers of influence.
  • Support financial planning work, including reviewing, preparing and updating client-based plans, financial and estate planning primers, estate planning attorney searches, goal reviews and planning-related follow-up.
  • Build relationships with internal business partners across banking, lending, trust, estate planning and investments to better support clients and expand your professional network.
  • Assist Client Service Specialists with client service activities, client calls and service-related requests while learning the full client service process.
  • Attend to special client needs, including cash requirements and reserves, tax planning and distribution analysis.
  • Develop a strong understanding of JFG products, services, processes and risk management expectations while building confidence as a future Wealth Advisor.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree with two or more years of experience working with affluent clientele; a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Commitment to pursuing CFP designation.
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through and relationship-building skills.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial planning, investments and wealth management concepts.
  • Series 65 required or ability to obtain within six months.

Come as you are.

Our culture embraces diversity, equity, & inclusion; one where everyone feels valued and heard. For more information on JFG's culture and diversity efforts, including our employee resource groups, please visit the Diversity section of our career website.
