SUMMARY: Machine Operator 1sets up, operates, and maintains production machinery to produce goods, following blueprints and instructions to ensure quality and efficiency.Key responsibilities include monitoring machine performance, performing minor maintenance and adjustments, conducting in-process inspections with measuring tools, and adhering to strict safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This entry-level position requires a high school diploma, attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Sets up, operates and adjusts machines (including computer-controlled equipment) according to established procedures to produce parts to specifications * Observes machine operation to detect defects, performs in-process inspections using measuring tools, and adjusts maintain product quality * Performs minor machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication, and identifies and solves problems or malfunctions that arise * Follows all company safety regulations, uses personal protective equipment, and reports unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment * Accurately documents production data, including runtime, output, and any issues in systems * Works cooperatively with other team members to ensure production schedules are met and the plant maintains an "audit ready" status * Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: * A high school diploma or GED is required * 0-1 year of work experience or a willingness to learn through on-the-job training * Other skills required: o Attention to detail o Basic math and computer skills o Ability to read job orders o Physical stamina and strength for lifting and standing for long periods * Standing for 8+ hours per day, except for breaks * Typically lifting 20-50 pounds regularly o Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues COMPETENCIES: * Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. * Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
