We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Position: Childcare & Recreation Manager



The Childcare & Recreation Manager overseas the childcare and recreation services. Supervision of Assistant Teachers and Recreation Assistants, and liaison with funder and regulatory agencies.

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11207



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four years work experience with a similar population of which two years were in a supervisory capacity; or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.



Childcare & Recreation Manager Principal Responsibilities:



  • Manage instructional environment in a manner that fosters learning and growth.
  • Supervise classroom aides.
  • Direct classroom activities on a daily basis. Prepare daily activity schedule and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Evaluate student progress on an ongoing basis, maintaining necessary records.
  • Write annual goals, behavioral objectives, and intervention strategies for students.
  • Assess developmental functioning and learning skills of students in all areas, at regularly planned intervals.
  • Consult and interface with colleagues on team on all phases of student program.
  • Make parent contacts, provide for transition of instruction to home, and assure parent partnership, make home visits, and invite parents for school visits.
  • Maintain daily lesson plan book which displays instruction in all content areas.
  • Supervises assigned staff.
