The Manager of Behavioral Health is responsible for managing clinical, operational and administrative operations for behavioral health services and related programs for one or more teams. Manages strategies and achievement of goals, develops team members and ensures overall operational effectiveness.
This position will support our Anschutz Mental Health Emergency Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops annual work plans used to achieve goals and performance metrics for behavioral health services and related programs. Executes plans for aligning services and programs to operational vision and related strategies.
- Participates in leadership activities for the division and contributes to the achievement of goals and objectives. Defines and maintains internal processes, establishes customer service standards and addresses operational and customer services escalations.
- Serves as a champion of enterprise-wide culture, influencing culture change to support objectives related to behavioral health services and programs.
- Manages communications to the enterprise on strategies, services, programs, projects and initiatives related to behavioral health. Fosters and maintains strong, effective working relationships with peers across the enterprise and within the behavioral health industry.
- Assigns and reviews work, provides on-the-job or formal training and develops team members. Evaluates team and individual performance, providing continuous feedback. Accountable for managing entire employee lifecycle of team, including hiring, development, performance management, discipline and termination.
- Participates in financial management, including, but not limited to, monitoring budgets, developing recommendations and reviewing expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
- Executes complex projects and provides technical expertise on programs, processes, policies, procedures and best practices.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulation. Ensures services and programs align with industry best-practices.

- Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work or a related field
- Experience
- Licenses & Certifications
- Variety of licenses acceptable BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire
- Licensure as a Psychologist, Professional Counselor (LPC) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado is required at the time of hire.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $112,925.52 to $169,388.27
