About the role

We are looking for a Staff Product Marketing Manager to join our team and lead go-to-market strategy, positioning, and adoption for Okta Privileged Access. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a seasoned PMM who thrives at the intersection of product, customer, strategy, and marketing.

The ideal candidate will be able to take complex security concepts and turn them into compelling stories for a variety of audiences and personas. They will need to balance diverse inputs from stakeholders, market insights, competitive trends and customer needs to formulate a crystal clear POV that can translate into differentiated positioning.

What you'll be doing

Scale the PAM transformation narrative: Contribute to Okta's strategic narrative for privileged access by crafting compelling positioning that moves the market from seeing PAM as a legacy security checkbox to seeing it as a modern, cloud-native enabler of Zero Trust

Create differentiated messaging: Develop frameworks, slides, press releases, and other high-impact deliverables that articulate the product's value proposition for sales, customers, and analysts

Drive inbound product marketing: Serve as a critical partner to Product Management by connecting market opportunities to roadmap decisions. Use market insights and competitive analysis to influence and shape the future direction of Okta Privileged Access

Deliver strategic market insights: Establish a framework for analyzing PAM market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer friction points, ensuring actionable insights are delivered back to product and GTM teams

Orchestrate high-impact launches: Lead GTM execution for PAM features and products, ensuring cross-functional alignment and that every launch delivers on strategic growth goals

Establish the blueprint for success: Identify how leading organizations use Okta Privileged Access to modernize their security posture and distill these success stories into repeatable blueprints that help prospects realize full value from the platform

Partner with marketing: Ensure the PAM narrative is integrated into campaigns and demand generation programs, enabling the field to target the right buyers and influencers effectively


What you'll bring to the role

  • 8+ years experience as a product marketer in cybersecurity or identity management, preferably in the PAM space
  • Proven track record of marketing to a highly technical audience. You must be comfortable working with and marketing to technical buyers within enterprises.
  • Proven track record of creating product and/or solutions-specific messaging and content
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Project management skills, can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive programs from initiation to success.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews and being the "voice of the customer"

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$165,000 $226,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington is between:
$147,000 $202,000 USD

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:
$128,000 $176,000 CAD
