To contribute to this mission, this individual will support day-to-day facilities life safety system operation including managing life safety system improvement projects, Act as system owner to ensure life safety system is operated as its intent, support facility team to response to life safety emergency related events, provide guidance on project scope development and review life safety project design for compliance with UL requirements by local building and planning departments.
What You'll Do
- Perform Inspection, Testing and Maintenance and troubleshooting on fire suppression, fire pump, fire alarm systems and facility fire extinguishers
- Perform fire and life safety code compliance reviews and audits for facilities that under these individual responsibilities within the Bay Area
- Monitoring overall life safety system health
- Developing operating procedures/methods to guide other team facility members to effectively operate and troubleshoot life safety systems
- Identify, track and support mitigation strategies for life safety concerns
- Respond to emergency events as part of the internal facility response team and provide Root Cause Analysis
- Read, review, and provide mark ups as necessary in support of Fire and Life Safety system for new construction and modifications
What You'll Bring
- 10 years of inspection and/or install experience with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems preferred. Fire protection engineer degree is a plus but not required
- NICET certifications, NFPA/IFSAC Fire Inspector, CFPS preferred or willing to obtain
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, etc., and able to learn other company software
- Ability to act in accordance with Tesla requirements as well as state and federal laws, regulations, operational procedures, policies and statutes
- Familiarity with California Fire and Building Codes, Familiarity with NFPA codes including but not limited to NFPA 25, NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 10, NFPA 2001, NFPA 14, NFPA 24 and NFPA 17
- Able to use basic hand, power tools, operate at heights and utilize lift equipment
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
$108,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
