POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The incumbent manages client facing operations personnel and project teams executing a portfolio of larger and more substantial Capital projects which are generally and by design very complex MEP infrastructure projects primarily performed for strategic "top accounts" in branch locations where team continuity and consistency is crucial to maintain and further enhance the branch's key relationships. These high value projects are typically complex and performed in or around adjacent "mission critical" system environments which are essential to customer operations and therefore require highly specialized and technical execution planning, quality control and customer communication skills.

Base salary range of $200K - $220K

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Leads projects and teams with a core focus on our Safety culture and ecosystem, always evaluating the total environment as it relates to Limbach employees, subcontractors and partners, customers and other project partners.
  • Understands Limbach's cross functional, collaborative account based revenue model and engages with the account teams and personnel such as Account Managers, Account Executives, Special Projects Managers and Area Service Managers to fully understand the complexities and potential customer impacts these projects present to the overall account.
  • Manages multiple direct reports and manages personnel assignments to customer accounts, actively recruits new talent and develops current talent for contributions to their teams and the overall branch.
  • Leads projects and teams with a customer centric focus and makes operational decisions based on customer impact and overall customer experience / satisfaction.
  • Leads best in class & proactive customer communication. Conducts customer expectations meetings, provides weekly / monthly project updates & communication as required per the Limbach core processes to keep customers and teams aligned and informed.
  • Skillfully leads and & navigates projects and teams in complex, mission critical infrastructure environments with potential for elevated customer impact and/or safety & risk related profiles with experience and a calculated approach.
  • Acts as a proactive project partner, project leader and trusted advisor charged with protecting the owner/customer's interests and objectives.
  • Develops and drives critical project schedules for timely completion, planned revenue collection and satisfaction of customer goals
  • Utilizes established operational core processes to successfully manage the accuracy of weekly cost projections, monthly MPR's and all aspects of operational finance as it relates to assigned projects and staff.
  • Is effective at contract management, understands Prime Contract terms and their associated risks & actively manages projects in accordance with Limbach's contracting standards.
  • Manages projects and company commitments per Limbach's approved limits of authority (LOA)
  • Manages contracts effectively by properly executing contractual notice provisions while also presenting value added mitigation plans for issues giving rise to such notices.
  • Displays advanced proficiency and acumen associated with all aspects of managing and forecasting project costs including detailed cost projections and forecasts, risk factors and associated cost implications and related contingency planning and management.
  • Sets and redeems realistic baseline GP expectations with an emphasis on driving improved outcomes
  • Prepares, manages and updates project schedules for safe and efficient execution while positioning the company for favorable overbilled and net cash flow standing.

          WORK ENVIRONMENT:



          • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
          • Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to outside weather and conditions typically associated with a construction site.


          PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



          • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, walk, sit, stand, hear, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
          • S/he may occasionally be required to balance, climb, reach, and/or stoop.
          • This is considered a sedentary work position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.


          TRAVEL:



          • This position may require up to 10% travel.


          MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



          • Bachelor's Degree (in a construction-related field) or equivalent.
          • 7+ years of experience within the mechanical HVAC industry.
          • 5+ years of successful management experience.
          • Documented completion of OSHA's 30-hour Construction Training Course.
          • Demonstrated ability to engage in effective collaboration and communication (both written and verbal).
          • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
          • Must have a valid driver's license.


          PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



          • Advanced education or project management certification preferred.
          • 10+ years of experience within the mechanical HVAC industry.
