Are you seeking an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace that allows you to develop a career track, leverage your current skills, and work with an incredible team? Sunbelt Rentals-the fastest-growing rental business in North America-is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst for our Temporary Structures division.

The Inventory Control Analyst reports directly to the MRO Inventory Manager and acts as a strategic liaison between field operations, Fleet, manufacturers, and suppliers. In this role, you will focus on managing bulk inventory unique to temporary structures (including fabric covers, heavy steel/aluminum framing, and specialized components). This position requires a strong blend of high-level data analysis and hands-on inventory coordination within a dynamic yard and warehouse environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contract & Reservation Accuracy: Routinely check in and check out rental contracts, verifying the total accuracy of all upcoming rental reservations.

  • Inventory Control & Cycle Counting: Lead regular cycle counts and maintain precise supplier inventory controls, catalog pricing, and GL categorization.

  • Bulk Inventory Coordination: Oversee the total lifecycle of bulk assets, staging custom packages for installation crews and maintaining an organized yard.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively interact and communicate with warehouse associates to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and yard accuracy.

  • Data & Demand Analysis: Utilize reporting metrics to analyze internal equipment consumption, external sales, and vendor metrics to develop accurate replenishment plans.

  • Procurement Platform Management: Administer the SmartEquip procurement platform to ensure over 90% availability of required parts and maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) merchandise.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Partner with the sourcing department to drive vendor consolidation, national strategic relationships, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field of study.

  • 2-5 years of inventory management experience, with specific experience managing bulk inventory required.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to design and maintain reports using relational database applications (e.g., SQL Server, Microsoft Query, Excel).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with warehouse associates and management alike.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

  • This is not a typical, fully indoor warehouse role; the ability to work in a dynamic yard environment is required.

  • Must be comfortable working outdoors approximately 40% of the time.

  • Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
