Overview

VTG is seeking Senior Systems Engineers to serve as subject matter experts on the AN/SQQ-89(V) Undersea Warfare combat system in San Diego, CA, and Hampton Roads, VA. These positions lead technical data authoring, software/firmware management, training architecture, security engineering, and cross-functional systems integration across the full lifecycle of the AN/SQQ-89 ACB software suite.


What will you do?

  • Lead S1000D technical data development and SVD authoring for AN/SQQ-89 ACB functional segments
  • Manage software and firmware reproduction, version control, and change tracking for approximately 800 annual AN/SQQ-89 updates
  • Serve as technical authority for ACB functional segment analysis, TOR review and submission
  • Lead iPDM document review, COTS/hardware working group participation, and design interface coordination
  • Develop and maintain CSOSS redlines and test procedures
  • Lead Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) and training architecture development aligned to NEC requirements
  • Oversee MOODLE/LMS curriculum content development and IPRA authoring
  • Manage eMASS/ACAS operations, SIPRNet interface, and cATO compliance
  • Support CSSQT at-sea events as technical authority for ACB system state and sensor integration monitoring
  • Author OPSEC plan and manage DD 254 compliance and COMSEC account functions

Do you have what it takes?

  • Must have and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance; TS/SCI eligibility preferred for eMASS/SIPRNet functions
  • 15+ years of systems engineering experience on Navy surface ship combat systems (Master's degree substitutes for 5 years)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with AN/SQQ-89 ACB software architecture strongly preferred
  • S1000D technical data authoring experience and familiarity with AIM data module workflows
  • Experience with NAVSEA eMASS, ACAS, and DoD 8570.01 IA workforce certification
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field required
  • Experience with CSSQT, INCO, or shipboard combat system integration testing preferred

*Position contingent upon contract award*

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $94,000-$178,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
