IMEG is hiring a Finance & Accounting Systems Analyst in Rock Island, Illinois. Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Systems Manager, this role plays a key part in evaluating and optimizing financial software systems, analyzing system data, and helping ensure operational procedures are effective and efficient.

This position also supports troubleshooting technical issues, audits Finance & Accounting processes, and collaborates with stakeholders to identify improvements and recommend solutions. The role includes supporting user training on system functionalities and updates while working across teams to improve financial systems and workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Audit processes in VP, EleVia, Power BI, Avalara, FinQuery, and other accounting-related software

  • Meet with stakeholders to review findings and discuss researched solutions when improvements are identified

  • Review workflows and stored procedures, prepare detailed reports, and discuss improvements, sunsetting, or replacement with stakeholders

  • Assist with reviewing RDL files for accuracy and relevance

  • Audit Finance & Accounting processes, research options, and present solutions, including correspondence outside of IMEG as needed

  • Review platform performance reporting to identify process and software performance issues

  • Investigate potential solutions for process inquiries and stakeholder suggestions, then review feasibility and priority with the Finance & Accounting Systems Manager

  • Review sync failure logs between F&A and other CSG platforms and communicate with users through resolution

  • Periodically review Bot performance and discuss findings and potential improvements with stakeholders

  • Assist with troubleshooting, support-ticket communication, ongoing system support, and user training on system use and troubleshooting

  • May function as Project Manager on initiatives

What You'll Bring

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and project management tools

  • Critical thinking and strong research skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with SQL and Java, or ability to learn quickly

  • Advanced in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to travel up to 15% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is required

OR

  • Associates degree, or certificate preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is required

State of Illinois Salary Range: $54,000 - $65,000

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
