Summary:

As the Technical Expert II, you will lead the application and design to develop and implement a product strategy and drive it throughout the regional market. You will manage the assigned product portfolio and service to achieve our target sales and market share. Lastly, you will market the product line brands and work to position it with our customers in the market by aligning with the local sales team and global applications management.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead customer audits and advise on upkeep and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, communicate, execute, and evaluate product strategy.
  • Track market share regionally.
  • Grow sales and market share through product strategy and value.
  • Support sales and service needs within the customer sites.
  • Present solutions in the area of need to support North American sales team.
  • Share product line needs with R&D with Global Product Manager.
  • Engage in customer meetings with corporate and key mill accounts.



Success Factors (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required):



  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of the North America papermaking market.
  • Develop / complete analyses while still maintaining ability to react to emergencies and scheduled customer visits.
  • Apply analytical knowledge / experience to efficiently develop best outcomes.
  • Display excellent written and oral communications skills to all levels of customer organization.
  • Apply product specific knowledge and gathers sales / applications experience to quickly determine next steps.
  • Collaborate well with colleagues, customer resources and production to deliver the best product portfolio.
  • Ability to learn and / or develop experience quickly from both focused learning and applications exposure.
  • Willing to accept new tasks based on the needs of the business / region.
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with regional sales/service team, design specialists and customers.
  • Capable of identifying / understanding product or process deficiency and defining potential direction for solution.



Qualifications:



  • Mechanical experience related to paper manufacturing, field mechanical service or similar required including welding experience.
  • Minimum three years in Paper Machine experience required.
  • Strong background in paper machine applications and customer relation management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong background in sales applications and customer relation management
  • Sales experience developing solutions for industrial customers.
  • Experience leading and developing a team of mechanics in field service.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to provide solid technical support to customers.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 85% of the time.



Position requires candidates to be based in the Southern United States

Physical Requirements



  • Regularly required to talk and hear, stand and walk in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate).
  • Required to frequently stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4-8 hours.
  • Required to safely reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Climb stairs, walking, kneeling, pulling, warm temperatures, work around equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
