Position Overview

The Distribution Requirements Planner (DRP Planner) is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods across the supply chain network. This role focuses on balancing inventory levels, meeting customer demand, and optimizing distribution processes across warehouses and distribution centers. The DRP Planner uses demand forecasts, inventory data, and system tools to create and manage replenishment plans. The DRP Planner also coordinates domestic and international shipments, supports trade compliance, and collaborates with internal departments to maintain supply continuity

Distribution & Inventory Planning- 30%

  • Develop and maintain distribution requirements plans (DRP) for multiple locations

  • Analyze demand forecasts and sales trends to determine replenishment needs

  • Ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory

  • Monitor inventory levels across distribution centers and warehouses

  • Manage safety stock levels and reorder points

  • Identify and resolve stock imbalances, shortages, and overstock situations

Supply Chain Coordination- 20%

  • Collaborate with production planning, procurement, transportation, and warehouse teams

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery

  • Align distribution plans with production schedules and supplier capabilities

System & Data Analysis- 10%

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage planning activities

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, fill rates, and inventory turns

  • Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making

Continuous Improvement & Issue Resolution- 10%

  • Identify opportunities to improve distribution efficiency and reduce costs

  • Support implementation of process improvements and system enhancements

  • Participate in supply chain optimization initiatives

  • Address supply chain disruptions, delays, or inventory discrepancies

  • Escalate critical issues and propose corrective actions

International Logistics Operations - 30%

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (air, ocean, ground).

  • Work with customs brokers for timely clearance and resolve delays or documentation issues.

  • Maintain compliance with Mexican Customs Law, RGCE, and international trade regulations.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Planning to support supply continuity.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or 5 years of supply chain experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or related roles within the chemical industry

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software

  • Demonstrated abilities in change management, project leadership, and teamwork

  • Fully conversant in Supply Chain SAP systems. Ability to take ownership of a project & make timely informed decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years' experience in Distribution Planning

  • APICS CPIM certification preferred

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000.
