The main campus is located in the historic village of Kingston, and the Bay Campus is located in Narragansett. Both campuses are near major beaches in a beautiful coastal community. URI is just 30 minutes from Providence, RI and within easy reach of Newport, Boston, and New York City. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Summary: This temporary position provides seasonal support for undergraduate recruitment and application review during peak admission cycles. Serve as a representative of the University of Rhode Island by recruiting prospective students through on- and off-campus recruitment activities and by reviewing undergraduate applications for admission. Evaluate applicants in accordance with university admission policies and make admission decisions. Duties and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent the University at high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment events throughout assigned territories. Conduct presentations and communicate admission requirements, academic programs, and student opportunities to prospective students, families, and school counselors. Review undergraduate applications and supporting credentials to determine admission decisions in accordance with university policies and established review guidelines. Travel and work evenings and weekends as required to support recruitment activities. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform additional duties as required. LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:Personal computers, printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.
