We are looking for a Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Iron River, MI Team!
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role ensures that machinery operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and adjustments
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions quickly
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Install, align, and calibrate new machinery and equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
- Follow safety standards and comply with OSHA regulations
- Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
- Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma (technical or trade school); Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred
- Experience with industrial machinery maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems (motors, PLCs, wiring)
- Familiarity with mechanical systems (gearboxes, conveyors, pumps)
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with PLC programming and automation systems preferred
- Certification in maintenance or electrical systems preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
- Use of ladders to reach shelves and trays
- Manufacturing or industrial setting (may include noise, heat, or cold)
- Requires standing, lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
- May involve shift work, weekends, or on-call duties
