Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Medical Social Sciences Job Summary: Coordinates & completes the day to day administrative & technical activities involved in a single complex, large, nationwide or multiple moderately complex concurrent biomedical &/or social-behavioral research study(ies) involving multiple sites &/or longitudinal assessments/interventions. Ensures that all activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). Dr. Callie Walsh-Bailey's team in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a Senior Research Study Coordinator to support a diverse research portfolio focused on closing gaps between what is known and what is done ("know-do gaps") in healthcare delivery-also known as implementation science. This position will work across two projects focused on understanding and improving the delivery of evidence-based practices to improve care for complex chronic health conditions, including cancer and diabetes. The Senior Research Study Coordinator will be responsible for various day-to-day study research operations, including overseeing participant recruitment and enrollment; conducting qualitative interviews; maintaining qualitative and quantitative research data; assisting with IRB documentation and compliance; conducting literature reviews; coordinating study team meetings; creating and maintaining study record keeping systems and tracking study deliverables and timelines. The coordinator will support the study team and collaborating partners by scheduling meetings and providing meeting minutes in a timely manner. The coordinator will have opportunities to contribute to conference presentations, manuscript writing, and other dissemination activities. As such, the Senior Research Study Coordinator must have impeccable organization, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills as well as strong attention to detail. All applicants must be able to demonstrate familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications. Working knowledge of REDCap, as well as design and data visualization skills are encouraged. This position would be ideal for individuals looking to pursue an MPH or PhD in public health, health services research, or another related discipline; planning to attend medical school in the future; or interested in pursuing a career as research staff (e.g., becoming a project manager in the future).
