The Senior Quality Engineer is a key member of the Global Post Market Support team and serves as a subject matter expert for the complaint intake process. In this role, you will provide expertise and guidance on how events are reported to designated reporting locations, support third-party vendors responsible for event reporting, and help ensure complaint intake procedures and standard operating procedures are effectively implemented and maintained.

You will collaborate with global cross-functional partners to support complaint intake processes across projects and strategic initiatives while providing subject matter expertise during internal and external audits. This role offers an opportunity to help strengthen post-market quality processes that support compliance, operational excellence and Boston Scientific's commitment to improving patient lives.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Responsibilities:



  • Acts as a subject matter expert within the complaint sub process specializing in the intake of events to the global complaint handling system, including but not limited to process, procedures, process improvement and compliance.
  • Develops and implements monitoring of complaint records as it relates to the intake of events worldwide from all complaint sources and all designated reporting locations.
  • Supports global strategic initiatives be taking on a support role or SME/Owner role on project teams.
  • Owns and participates in global NCEP/CAPAs.
  • Creates Quality Tools & Training Materials by applying body of knowledge/expertise and communicating to respective teams.
  • Evaluates the adequacy and compliance of systems, operations, and practices against regulation and company documentation. Could serve as front room facing support in internal and external audits.



Required qualifications:



  • Minimum Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience in a regulated industry (preferably medical devices)



Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience in Post Market Support
  • Ability to work independently using critical thinking skills
  • Ability to influence up and across the organization

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
