Build the future, spark innovation and align your career with purpose.

McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. Together, we're building a thriving planet.

Buildings are a leading contributor to the climate crisis, generating nearly 40% of total global energy-related carbon emissions. We're making a lasting impact on our industry and within our communities by addressing the climate, affordability and equity crises through:

  • renewables and energy services
  • engineering and design
  • construction and facility services

To get where we're going, we need big thinkers, problem solvers and collaborative mindsets. Does that sound like you?

The Opportunity with McKinstry

McKinstry's Digital Construction team is looking for a Senior Construction Technology Specialist to lead model management on hyperscale data center programs and offsite-manufactured mechanical and electrical products, such as equipment skids, modular cooling blocks and prefabricated assemblies.

This isn't a traditional BIM coordinator seat. You'll keep multi-company model environments organized and trustworthy while design, detailing and fabrication move at the same time. You'll work closely with engineering, detailing and prefab teams, and represent McKinstry in coordination meetings with general contractors, trade partners and owner teams.

What you'll do

  • Manage federated models across several active projects, including weekly coordination models and a reliable publishing cadence to client environments.

  • Administer Autodesk Forma (ACC) across McKinstry, partner and client hubs, covering setup, permissions and content transfer.

  • Set projects up correctly from day one with shared coordinates, templates, workset strategies and model structure.

  • Work within client-mandated BIM standards and clearly document where they conflict with our tools or workflows.

  • Support design-for-manufacturing models that feed fabrication, including product families and equipment options.

  • Lead issue tracking with external teams so problems reach the right party.

  • Identify repeatable tasks such as publishing, compiling and health checks, and help automate them.

Who we're looking for

  • Strong Revit experience, including fabrication parts, plus Navisworks and Forma (ACC) administration.

  • Background on data center, mission-critical, modular or prefabrication projects.

  • Comfortable owning recurring deliverables and being the accountable voice in client-facing meetings.

  • Able to bridge engineering, detailing, fabrication and owner requirements, and push back constructively when needed.

  • SolidWorks or manufacturing drawing (ASME Y14, tolerancing) exposure is a strong plus.

PeopleFirst Benefits

When it comes to the basics, we have you covered:

  • Competitive pay
  • 401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision with low or zero deductible options and low out of pocket maximums

People come first at McKinstry, and we go beyond the basic benefits with:

  • Family formation benefits, including adoption and IVF assistance
  • Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave
  • Transgender inclusive benefits
  • Commuter benefits
  • Pet insurance
  • "Building Good" paid community service time
  • Learning and advancement opportunities via McKinstry University
