Project Accounting Analyst

We're looking for a Project Accounting Analyst to support project accounting, financial operations, and ERP processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into financial data, resolving issues, interpreting contract requirements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and system performance-you'll play a key role in project financial management, process improvement, and Oracle Fusion support.

What You'll Do

• Analyze project financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and perform root cause analysis across business processes, system configuration, and project data.
• Support Oracle Fusion Project Financial Management (PFM), Project Billing, Revenue Management, Contracts, and related financial modules.
• Review customer contracts to ensure project setup, billing structures, and revenue recognition align with contractual requirements.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Project Managers, and IT to resolve project financial and ERP-related issues.
• Support ERP enhancements, process improvements, system stabilization, and ongoing optimization efforts.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets, perform reconciliations, and support financial decision-making.
• Assist with project invoicing, work-in-process reviews, revenue recognition, collections, and project financial reporting.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, financial analysis, revenue accounting, ERP support, or a related accounting or finance role.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion, including Project Financial Management (PFM), Project Billing, Revenue Management, Contracts, or related financial modules.
• Strong understanding of the complete project financial lifecycle, from project setup through billing, revenue recognition, collections, and project closeout.
• Experience interpreting customer contracts and applying contractual requirements to project financial processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets and performing reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across Accounting, Finance, Operations, IT, and Project Management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Oracle Fusion implementations, upgrades, or post-go-live stabilization.
• Knowledge of project invoicing, client-specific billing requirements, and revenue recognition best practices.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes, collections support, and project financial controls.
• Demonstrated success improving financial processes within an ERP environment.
