Working Title: CAL-SOAP Student Success Coordinator Position Summary Under the general supervision of the CAL-SOAP Administrator, the Student Services Professional I (SSP I) serves as a Student Success Coordinator providing outreach, advising, and college access services to high school students at assigned Los Angeles-area school sites. The incumbent delivers college-readiness guidance, financial aid advising, and postsecondary planning support to increase college enrollment and completion rates among financial assistance recipients. The SSP I serves as a liaison between assigned high school sites and the CAL-SOAP LA Consortium and supports implementation of statewide initiatives, including the #AllInForFinancialAid campaign. This classification performs entry-level professional student services work under general supervision. Essential Functions Student Advising and Direct Support - 40%
Outreach, Workshops, and Educational Programming - 30%
Program Coordination and Liaison Activities - 20%
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities - 10%
Results and Outputs The Student Services Professional I is expected to produce the following measurable outcomes:
Performance is evaluated based on the achievement of program goals, the quality and timeliness of advising services, the accuracy of reporting, the effectiveness of collaboration, and contributions to overall student access and success outcomes. Minimum Qualifications

The incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the UAS. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or the continued employment of current UAS employees who apply for the position.
