Position Summary:
The Team Leader, Distribution is responsible for leading Receiving and Replenishment operations across two adjacent warehouse buildings. This role provides day-to-day leadership, work balancing, and support to Material Handlers and Drivers while ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, movement, and replenishment of inventory. The position is expected to maintain broad warehouse operations knowledge and will split time between both facilities to support operational execution and business needs.
HOURS: 6/7am - 2:30/3:30pm & ability for overtime
PAY: $22hr - $28hr & bonus
LOCATION: 14905 & 14605 28th Ave North Plymouth, MN
HIRE: Direct, full time.
What You'll Do:
  • Assure staff remain level loaded throughout the shift, adjusting as needed in areas of assignment.
  • Primary contact point for other functional groups to reduce Specialist distraction.
  • Lead troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Assist in staff assessments, assignments, training plans, and projects.
  • Assist in the development of improvement strategies and execution plans.
  • Support and foster team empowerment and lead by example.
  • Cycle Counting coordination and / or execution.
  • Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks.
  • Lead engagement activities assuring promotion of a safe work environment.
  • Functionally work within team to complete shop floor execution daily requirements.
  • Lead coordination efforts and flow of product through the areas of report including but not limited to transacting, storage, labelling, movement, packaging, shipment, and return from field and or stock.
Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

Required:

  • 5 years of related disciplines experience.
  • Previous forklift experience (counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck) preferred, if none, ability to become certified required.
  • General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of general and specific aspects of the position and their practical applications to problems and situations are ordinarily required.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to:
    • maintain regular and predictable attendance
    • continually meet all ADA factors as detailed within this job description
    • work independently and as a team in a fast paced, changing environment

Preferred:

  • Forklift experience operating counterbalance, stock picker, and/or reach truck.
  • Previous experience working in SAP and/or Oracle.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office products like Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  • Experience working in receiving/replenishment areas of a production or combined facility.
  • Previous leadership and/or training experience.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Improvement (C.I.) and/or 5S production space or warehouse.

Other:

  • Up to 100% sitting, standing and walking in an 8-hour workday, more if working overtime.
  • 90-95% inside and 5-10% outside (working between facilities and at receiving docks).
  • Ability to:
    • continuously wear personal protective equipment and/or clean room attire
    • work overtime as required
    • operate power tools/equipment and hand tools
    • work with or around chemicals
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position.

      • Lift/Carry 10-50lbs, sitting, light grasping, keyboarding, writing, operating heavy machinery, seeing/depth perception
    • Frequently (34-66% of the time):
      • Lift/Carry 51-100lbs, Push/Pull 10-100lbs, bend/twist, reach below the knee, reach above the shoulder, repetitive foot & leg motion, operate power tools, speaking, and hearing
    • Occasionally (11-33%):
      • Repetitive foot motion, repetitive leg motion, operation of power tools.

Pay range for this opportunity is$22.47 - $28hr. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
