Shot Blast & Paint Technician- Pueblo, CA

Position Summary:

To work every day in a way that actively supports and accomplishes the Values, Mission and Vision of Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc.

Objective:

To efficiently and accurately blast and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders.

Who: Re-qualifiers, Hydro, Warehouse/New Cylinders, Pack Shop, Acetylene, Trailer Gas, LPG, High Pressure Fill, Western's External Customers

Responsibilities:

* To know, understand and accurately follow all applicable SOP's.

* Meet all applicable efficiency requirements

* Correctly identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services

* Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible

* Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders

* Ensure the proper valve is inserted correctly

* Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed

* Ensure that hanging caps are properly placed on all cylinders moving to the paint line

* Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3

* Safely remove cylinders from the paint line

* Any other duties assigned

* Specific Requirements (training, education, certification)

* Ability to roll two cylinders at a time

* Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions

* Good communication skills

Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift 100 lbs

* Ability to stand for extended periods of time

* Ability to work extended shifts

* Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions

* Near far depth perception and peripheral vision are commonly used

* Ability to hear in a noisy background

* Manual dexterity, motor coordination, and physical stamina are critical elements of the job
