Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Equipment Specialist providing support to Program Executive Office for Nuclear Command, Control, Communications Common Very Low Frequency (VLF) Receiver (CVR) Increment 2 Program Management Office (PMO) via the Nuclear Networks Division (NCN).The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with an operating location at Kirtland AFB, NM. The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG) and Intelligence (IN).

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Support maintenance management policy implementation, technical order management, and configuration control for NC3 systems.

  • Review and recommend changes to system and product specifications for format, content, and compliance.

  • Maintain, distribute, and manage drawing packages and revisions.

  • Provide technical analysis of field, depot, and modification program issues.

  • Participate in technical order reviews, audits (FCA, PCA), and compliance assessments.

  • Prepare Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Technical Review Boards (TRBs).

  • Track and manage deficiency reports (DRs), AFTO 22/252s, ECPs, ACSNs, RFD/RFWs, and other configuration documentation.

  • Analyze maintenance data and forecast spares through R&M programs and DMSMS tracking.

  • Perform vendor research for obsolete and hard-to-find parts; assemble technical data packages for sourcing and capability assessments.

  • Provide technical input for provisioning, CPIN management, Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERDs), and sustainment planning.

  • Support troubleshooting of complex system or equipment problems in coordination with field, contractor, and organic maintenance teams.

  • Participate in transition to digital technical order systems and support IMDS/REMIS setup.

  • Develop and revise technical orders, interpret engineering data, and support sustainment and disposal planning for NC3-related systems.



Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret Clearance

Education: BA/BS Degree

Years of Experience: 7 - 10 Years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: ICD-704 eligibile

Education: MA/MS Degree

Years of experience: 10+ years in DoD/DoW environment, primarily supporting Air Force acquisitions programs

Technical Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD configuration management processes and documentation

  • Experience with Technical Orders, TCTOs, AFTO 22/252s, DRs, ECPs, and CCB processes

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, change orders, and maintenance manuals

  • Familiarity with R&M analysis, provisioning, CPIN, and digital technical order systems

  • Skilled in identifying DMSMS risks and sourcing hard-to-find parts and spares

Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, logistics, and sustainment personnel

  • Capable of providing detailed guidance and support to maintenance teams

  • Able to manage complex systems data across teams and life-cycle stages
